Support Sarita Devi's cause

Yesterday, we witnessed one of the most ugliest moments in Asian games' history. The controversial decision was made in a boxing match between Sarita devi of India and Jina Park of South korea. The first round was evenly matched with nothing to choose between two boxers. The judges gave the round to south korean. The second round witnessed the vintage Sarita destroying her korean opponent giving the korean no chance to attack back. The trend followed in the third and fourth rounds at the end of which the Korean seemed battered and bruised. Of course, the Indian won the bout. That's what everyone(including the Korean spectators) thought. But to everyone's surprise the Korean was adjudged the winner.Yes, the Indian is robbed off her silver/gold medal. The favoritism of judges caused India atleast a sliver medal.
South Korean cheated. Sounds familiar?Well u have to go back to 1988 Olympic games.
There were multiple instances happened in the bout which seemed suspicious from referees part(she didn't bother to count which could have resulted in the loss of Korean as blood was coming out off her nose).
The Mongolian and another Indian also lost their respective matches to South Koreans in what seemed to be a biased decision
We should respond to such favoritism.
We r youth. we should do something about it.We should make sure that no such incidents occur again.Such injustice not only hurt Sarita Devi but also an entire nation containing 1.25 billion people.
I call upon all my friends to protest against such cheating by boycotting Korean brands like Hyundai, Samsung, LG etc.
Its time to protest against such injustice.
Lets together make sure that no such incidents happen in future.

  1. I totally agree with you Saivishnu. I'm happy to see the initiative that our youngsters are taking to react against such things. Keep it up.
